Trent studied law and accounting at Victoria University of Technology. He undertook his articles in a Melbourne firm before establishing a jointly owned practice in Doncaster in 2007. In August 2011 Trent established Boutique Legal. He has over 15 years experience in a variety of areas of law including but not limited to Deceased Estates, Wills, Powers of attorney, Superannuation, Conveyancing, Litigation and Business/Commercial Law.

Jana studied law and arts at Flinders University in South Australia. In July 2012, Jana joined Boutique Legal. Jana currently attends to all conveyancing and paralegal matters.

PRACTICE AREAS

CONVEYANCING

We’ve been practising in conveyancing for over 10 years. We are experienced in all types of conveyancing matters including subdivisions, off the plan sales/purchases, development agreements, mortgages, caveat and easement issues. We utilise PEXA (Property Exchange Australia) for all e-conveyancing matters and SPEAR for all subdivisions and other related SPEAR lodgements.

LEASES

We attend to all aspects of Leases from Retail to Commercial, Renewal of Leases, Transfer/Assignment of Leases, Variation to Leases and breaches/termination of Leases.

WILLS AND POWERS OF ATTORNEY

We can provide various types of estate planning solutions for all types of clients. We deal with all aspects of estate planning including standard Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Appointment of Medical Treatment Decision Makers, Lapsing and Non Lapsing Binding Death Benefit Nominations, Complex Testamentary Wills and succession planning for Businesses, Trusts, Companies and SMSFs.

DECEASED ESTATES

We have experience in deceased estate matters including attending to Probate and Letters of Administration, commencing and defending Testator Family Maintenance Claims and administering Deceased Estates.

LITIGATION\DISPUTE RESOLUTION

We provide advice and assistance with litigation\dispute resolution matters including engaging in mediation, negotiation and attending VCAT and all Victorian Courts. We endeavour to take a commercial approach when assisting clients with litigation matters.

TAX LAW

We have extensive experience in assisting with Land Tax, Stamp Duty and other Revenue\Tax matters.

CORPORATE LAW

We advise regularly on Corporate Law matters including Sales/Purchases of businesses, Franchise Agreements, Distribution/Supply Agreements and other Commercial Agreements.
