A retail lease is a lease of retail premises that falls within such meaning in the Retail Leases Act 2003 and as determined by the Minister. The Retail Leases Act defines ‘Retail premises’ as premises, not including any area intended for use as a residence, used wholly or predominantly for the retail sale or hire of goods or services or the carrying on of a business type specified by the Minister.
